Belgium in Maps

Data sources and reuse

Each map slice retains its source, date, licence where supplied, geography and processing notes.

Providers

Most statistical and boundary data comes from Statbel. The catalogue also contains clearly identified official or public-provider releases, including election results from IBZ and air-quality series from IRCEL-CELINE.

Processed layer

Belgium in Maps pins source releases, repairs or normalizes geometry where documented, harmonizes reference codes, validates coverage and creates derived measures only from declared components. A processed value is not rebranded as an official provider publication.

Attribution and licences

The selected map shows its source and licence. Many Statbel releases use CC BY 4.0, but conditions can differ by source. Reusers must check and comply with the licence and attribution attached to the exact source before redistributing data, screenshots or processed outputs. Belgium in Maps branding does not replace source credit.

Corrections

If a displayed value appears wrong, compare its period, geography and measure with the cited source, then report the exact map URL through the contact form.
