Belgium in Maps

Privacy notice

The map works without an account. Belgium in Maps does not use advertising or behavioural profiles.

Controller and contact

Florent Chif is the controller for Belgium in Maps. The service contact address is hello@horizonmapper.com; use the protected contact form for correspondence and privacy requests.

Purposes, data and intended legal bases

Essential browser storage keeps language and privacy choices. Optional analytics helps improve the service after consent. Contact data is used to answer a request. Newsletter email, locale, selected topics and consent status are used for double opt-in delivery. Security tokens and coarse abuse controls protect the forms.

The intended bases are consent for optional analytics and subscriptions; taking steps at your request and legitimate interests in replying to contact; and legitimate interests in security and aggregate service operation, subject to applicable law.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides delivery, aggregate Web Analytics and Turnstile protection. Microsoft Clarity is optional and consent-gated. Resend delivers contact and subscription email. These providers may process data outside the EEA under their applicable terms and transfer safeguards.

Retention

Language and privacy choices remain in your browser until they expire or you clear them. Analytics consent is requested again after six months or a policy change. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours; unconfirmed subscriptions are removed after 30 days. Contact messages are delivered by email and are not stored in the audience database. Subscription consent and suppression records are retained as needed to honour preferences, withdrawals, bounces and complaints. Provider retention may also apply.

Your choices and rights

Withdraw optional analytics in Privacy settings. Use any subscription email to change preferences or unsubscribe. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where applicable through the contact form. You may complain to the competent supervisory authority.
